In our Initial Evaluation, we build a comprehensive portrait of you and your situation by taking the time to sit down with you to get to know you make sure we get the right testing done.
You’ll have a 50-60 minute visit with Dr. Gerstmar (preferably in person, or virtually if you’re unable to come to the office) where you’ll discuss your current situation, your history, and what you and other healthcare providers have discovered to this point, including reviewing any previous tests in the past year you’ve had done. Dr. Gerstmar will go over any medications or supplements you are taking, and discuss his initial thoughts on your situation. In most instances, he’ll discuss what testing needs to be done to further clarify what’s going on for you and help us determine what treatment is going to give you the best, fastest, and most long-lasting results. You’ll leave the visit with instructions for any testing that needs to get done.
While you’re getting the testing done and we’re waiting for results to come back to us, you’ll have a meeting with one of our stellar health coaches. This is typically a virtual visit (done over the phone or on Skype) and is 75-90 minutes in length. The coach is going to go over your diet and lifestyle in-depth, talk about your goals, and look at your strengths and things that might be roadblocks in your healing journey.
The Report of Findings – You’ll follow up with a visit with Dr. Gerstmar. In this 45-90 minute visit, we’ll pull together all the information we’ve gathered from your initial visits plus the results of your tests. In this visit Dr. Gerstmar will review the tests with you and explain what they’re showing and what that means for you. He’ll lay out his insights into what exactly is going on for you and what needs to be done to help you reach your goals. He’ll lay out the first steps on your healing journey, and you can decide if you’re ready, able, and willing to move forward. You’ll leave this visit and the Initial Evaluation with greater insight into your health and any issues you’re having, and a feeling of empowerment that there is a way forward towards the life you want to live.
After you complete your Initial Evaluation we will give you our recommendations for what kind of care would help you the most. The majority of our patients join our Foundational Care Program, which is a 3 or 6 month program that includes:
Most often once a month for 3 to 6 months, though we can customize a schedule that fits your needs.
Most often twice a month for 3 to 6 months, though, again, this is customized to what you need to maximize your chances of success.
Email access with our team, access to online educational materials including classes and webinars, and discounts on any supplements you purchase through us.
When you enroll in our 3-month program, you’ll receive a 10% discount on all visits and supplements.
When you enroll in our 6-month program, you’ll receive a 20% discount on all visits and supplements.
To get started, click here to fill out the Application For Care at ANH (it takes about 5 mins). You’ll also be able to book a complimentary 15-minute call with us. It’s a no-pressure way to chat and make sure we’ll be a great fit.
In our years of experience, healing of most complex, long-standing health issues takes time. Most of our patients need at least 6 months of care to achieve significant and long-lasting results.
While you can see us on a visit-by-visit basis, paying for each visit as you have it, we’ve found people get much better results when they make a commitment to receiving care.

"I’m honored to call Dr Tim a friend, and one of the best resources on the gut and natural medicine I know. If there’s something I don’t know, Dr Tim is on the list of people I call to find the answer. It took me 4 years to figure out my own struggles with IBS, I wish I would have known someone like Dr Tim back then as it could have saved me so much time, energy, and suffering. If you’re seeking answers Dr Tim should be one of your first calls."
